Artist Profile

Wendy studied tonal oil painting and impressionism with Peter Smales and went on to study pastel with Nell Frysteen. She has participated in workshops with Pete Marshall and Herman Pekel.

Much of Wendy’s inspiration comes from being in and observing nature. In an attempt to understand and interpret the natural environment, she explores different styles and concepts. Wendy uses a variety of mediums from oils, acrylics and pastels to charcoal and watercolour. Wendy enjoys the challenge of learning new techniques and mediums to further evolve her style.

Wendy has been a Feature Artist at Sherbrooke Art Society and was awarded the title of Sherbrooke Art Society’s first Artist of the Year in 2014.
